Save a Facebook video to your device
Copy the video's link from Facebook, paste it into GetFrom.io and pick a resolution. The file downloads to your device as an MP4. It works on desktop and mobile, with nothing to install and no Facebook login.
Copy the right link first — this is where most attempts fail
The usual problem is not the tool but the link: Facebook offers several places to copy from, and most of them do not point at a single video.
- On desktop: click the date under the poster's name to open the post on its own, then copy the URL from the address bar.
- On mobile: tap the three dots at the top right of the post and choose Copy link.
- Check that the link contains /videos/, /watch/, /reel/ or /share/v/.
- Paste it into GetFrom.io and press the button.
Why some videos cannot be fetched
Facebook shows a video according to the poster's settings. If the post is friends-only, inside a closed group, or region-limited, it is as closed to us as to anyone outside that circle. This site never asks for a password and never acts on someone's behalf.
The quickest test is to open the link in a window where you are not logged in. If you cannot watch it there, we cannot fetch it either.
A live broadcast is also refused up front: a stream that has not ended has no end to download. Wait until it finishes.
The resolutions Facebook offers
Facebook does not offer every resolution for every video, so the options change from link to link. These are capped at 720p, because Facebook's files usually have to be converted on our server first, and that cost climbs steeply with resolution.
In practice 720p is sharp enough on a phone or laptop, and it is the level most Facebook videos were uploaded at anyway.

Can I save a video from a group or a private page?
No. Only public content can be fetched — if it needs a login to view, it cannot be downloaded.
Do Facebook Reels work?
Yes. Paste a /reel/ link the same way; nothing else changes.
Where does the file go?
Your browser's usual downloads folder — the Files app on iPhone, the Download folder on Android.
Why is it sometimes slower?
Options that need converting are processed on the server first. Anything marked Instant skips that step and is much faster.
