How to download Instagram Reels
Open the Reel, copy its link, and paste it into GetFrom.io. The Reel is fetched and saved as an MP4. It has to be a public Reel — anything that needs a login to view cannot be downloaded.
Getting the right link
This is where most attempts go wrong. Instagram has several kinds of URL, and only the Reel's own address points at a single video.
Tap the three dots on the Reel and choose Copy link, or open the Reel in a browser and copy the address bar. A profile URL is not enough — a profile holds many posts, so there is no single video to fetch.

Why some Reels cannot be downloaded
Private accounts, close-friends stories and anything behind a follow request are only visible to signed-in viewers. Our server is not signed in as anyone, so from its point of view the post does not exist. This is a limit by design, not a bug to route around.
Instagram also changes how it serves media fairly often. When it does, a link that worked last month can start failing until the extractor catches up.
Reels, feed videos and stories are not the same
A Reel and an ordinary feed video are both single videos and behave the same way here. Stories expire, so a story link stops working once the story is gone — there is nothing left on Instagram's side to fetch.
Frequently asked questions
Will the Reel have a watermark?
GetFrom.io does not add one. If the creator burned a watermark into the video itself, that stays — it is part of the picture.
Can I download just the audio from a Reel?
Yes, choose the Audio option to save it as an MP3.
Does the creator know I downloaded it?
No. Downloading is not something Instagram reports to them.
